Happy 2009 everyone!
I was on a bit of a hiatus for awhile as our little family packed up the Subaru and headed to sunny Arizona for the holiday break.
We left on Dec. 23 and got to Phoenix around 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 24. Needless to say, we were pooped. I think the trip would have gone a lot quicker if Idaho hadn't been a frickin sheet of ice! Yuck!
But we made it safe and sound. The days were never dull! We hiked nearly every day, I got in lots of fun shopping. We went to ZooLights and had pizza at my F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E place Oreganos. We saw some movies and even got to go to a Phoenix Suns game (thank you very much Miss Novak). My mom threw me a surprise baby shower (I'm still in shock).
Jeff got to go to a hockey game and golfed quite a bit.
It was really hard to climb into the car on Saturday and leave the good company of my parents house and the sunny weather of Phoenix for the cold, icy home that we live in up north.
We made it back yesterday and are both back at work.
We are moving into a house sometime next week and we're also getting into that final stretch of the pregnancy.
2009 is already shaping up to be a very, very busy and eventful year.
As for those resolutions we always make I have 2.
My first one is to not text or talk on the phone in the car. I can only talk if I have my headset in (but that would mean I'd have to find where I put it!)
My second one is kind of a year long resolution. Once the baby is born, my get fit goal is to start training for the Griz Triathlon in April 2010. Wish me luck!
