Back to school, back to school

Over the holidays, Jeff and I made a big decision.
I am going back to school.
I say that Jeff and I made this decision because its going to require a lot of patience and understanding on his part. Yes the house will probably be more messy, there will be less homemade dinners and he'll have to entertain the little guy more, but in the long run, I think this is one of the best decisions we've made in awhile.

I'm going back to get my Elementary Education degree. It won't happen overnight because I am going to continue working full-time at Carroll, but I know I'll get there eventually. I am able to take up to 6 credits free through the college, so that's basically what I'm doing. I have two classes, Monday through Friday. MWF  I have a one hour class called Theology and Gender (I have to take a Theology class in order to graduate from Carroll- its essentially one of the two general classes I have to take). T and TR I have Children's Literature.
Both are going to be challenging but enlightening and I can honestly say I'm excited to be doing something different and have a purpose!!!

YAY!!! I am so happy for you! I loved Children's lit! You will have the best time getting this degree! This past year has been hard, but I have to say the hardest part has been taking the year off of teaching. It makes me so happy and I know you will love it too! I have been taking online classes for an endorsement in School Library Media... classes can be challenging... but so worth it! I am so excited for you... good luck, and have loads of fun!

Congratulations!! School is tough, but if it's the long term track for you and your family it will be so worth it! And if you can go for free or minimal cost, heck yeah! That makes it even better. :)
