Bonding Time

I've been trying to do more Mommy and Caderyn activites and have discovered that baking is great and Caderyn loves helping me pour in the ingredients and doing taste tests (just like his Mom).
So yesterday I found a yummy and easy recipe online at Once a Month Mom for Pear Oatmeal that you make in the crockpot. For reals!
So before bedtime I quickly measured out all of the ingredients and then had Caderyn come into the kitchen and help me pour everything into my crock pot and then stir it up. So easy and it smelled so good. There's also almost NO sugar in this- just brown sugar. You let it cook on low for 5-7 hours. I woke up at 5 am and my house smelled delicious. Mine did overcook a little, but it still tastes really good!
I also love how Caderyn repeats all of the ingredients names after I tell him what they are. He's like a little echo. "Butter" is "Buh-wah" and "Oats" is "Ouh-z" and "Cinnamon" in "Zin-mah.'
