Looking back through my illness history, I can only conclude that if there's something out there, I'm probably going to get it.
I had a string of bronchial infections throughout grade school.
Appendicitis in college.
H1N1 when Caderyn was only 7 months old.
Pleurisy just two months ago.
And now, ladies and gentlemen, I have MRSA.
What started out as a zit on Friday morphed into an evil monster that made the left side of my lip and part of my face swell up five times their regular size. It throbbed, a lot. So I went to the doctor, thinking they would just look at it, laugh and pop it.
Not what happened.
Doctor took one look and put on gloves, did a test and then told me I had MRSA. Delightful huh!
He said, more than likely it was brought on by some bacteria from the college environment I work in. Those college kids are dirrrty :)
So now I'm on intense antibiotics that make me sick and I have to take them all and they are huge.
And last night was intense because I was so sick and in so much pain.
I can't snuggle my son, I can't love on him and it makes this gal super sad.
Jeffy took great care of me last night and made sure I had ice and was warm and took my pills in the middle of the night. That guy. :) We did take some pictures of my face thinking it would be funny to post about my monster zit. I haven't had the time or energy to download them yet, but if I get around to it today I will and you can all see just how seriously swollen my face was.
Loves from a sickie!
