Truth is, I'm actually thankful Lisa quickly snapped these photos as I picked my son up from her house. I haven't had a second this week to look at myself in a mirror.
How far along? 32 week MONSTER belly!.
Weight gain/loss/stretch marks: I asked my doctor yesterday, "Why am I SO big? I'm watching what I eat and working out more than in my first pregnancy." This was all said in a very whiny voice. She measured me, felt around my belly and announced, "You're right on track. You usually carry your second one differently and I think this boy will be very tall like his brother." I don't know if this was all true, but it made me feel better. I will stick to this one piece of my vanity right now, I DON'T have a double chin yet.
Maternity clothes? Yep. Looking tighter each day.
Sleep? Meh. I've been up between 5 and 530 a.m. each morning because my brain won't SHUT UP.
Best moment(s) this week? Caderyn felt his brother kicking for the first time and I almost cried it was so sweet. Feeling baby move in general has been great. Last week I had a scare. The baby completely stopped moving. Yes, I'm serious. So I waited and waited the whole week hoping something would change and it didn't so I called the doctor and they ordered me in immediately. It took two ultrasound ladies and the doctor all together in the room to find my little guy. This was so scary! The whole time the doctor was saying, "If we don't find him in (however many minutes) we'll need to admit you right to OB." and yes, I was freaking out and trying really hard not to cry. But they found him. He was wedged up under my left ribs pretty much as high as he could possibly get. They had to move him from under there (not very comfortable) and as soon as he was out he went crazy and I cried a little in relief. Yes, I'm emotional. Then the doctor gave me a sticker because he said I held it together really well. Okay...So anyways its really nice to feel baby moving again this week. If EVER you think your baby isn't moving as much as usual or you just feel like something is different don't hesitate to call your doctor!
Food cravings: Juice. Like Capri Sun.
Gender: A little smurf. Not a smurfette.
Belly button in or out? I actually think my belly button will turn out in the next two to three weeks. I just don't know how to feel about this since I've always had an innie. I'm feeling a little violated.
Movement? See the above story on movement. I've had lots of movement this week. He's whacked me pretty good a couple of times and I've had to stop and catch my breath. He also wakes me up pretty regularly around 3:30 a.m. and then between 5 and 5:30 a.m.
What I miss? Zumba. Working out. Beer. Cute outfits and heels. Not worrying that I'm going to fart if I bend over to . Oh yes. I went there.
What I'm looking forward to: Finishing the baby space and Caderyn's room. Soon, hopefully.
Weekly wisdom: Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.
- I've been having some Braxton Hicks contractions this week.
- Baby is still the size of a head of lettuce. I must have a monster head of lettuce growing in my belly!
- Baby has reached a milestone in that his immune system is now able to provide protection from mild infections.
