LETTERS TO CADERYN

Dear Caderyn:
In a matter of days you will no longer be my main man.
You will be sharing the limelight with a brother.
Part of me is so excited for this brother for you to love, play with and influence.
But there is also a part of me that is so afraid and sad to lose my one and only you.
I mean, I will still have you. You will always be mine, but now there will be two.
I find myself holding you one second longer, sniffing your clean hair more than usual and just looking and looking at your face.
I never want to lose these moments of just "us."

This brother will bring many changes to our family, but the best part of all is that he is a part of our family. Family is everything to us Caderyn. Family is your rock, your guide and your eternal companion on this journey of life.
I want you and your brother to be close. To depend on and trust in each other.
Caderyn, you are such a big boy.
Each morning, the second you are out of bed you need to have a plan for the day.
Before I can even kiss you good morning, you ask, "What are we going to do today?" followed by a, "Then what are we going to do?"
You are a man with a plan my sweet Caderyn.
When we put on your big boy undies in the morning, you run to the mirror to check out your booty. Then you have to give it a shake for everyone to see. I. LOVE. THIS.
You laugh.
You question.
You are currently into licking. Mommy doesn't like this so much.
You are fascinated by animals.
You sing songs.
You could run and run and run and never stop.
You stopped napping recently. This made me sad, but at the same time you've been going to bed so much better!
You love to read.
You love "The Avengers" and escaping from bad guys in your cape and super hero mask.
You love your grandparents and great-grandparents.
You are a picky eater.
You have crazy feather hair.
You ask things like, "Mommy, why aren't you a man?" or state things like, "I'm going to poop out an egg!"
You think your bodily functions are hilarious.
You love giving kisses.

Caderyn you are the best little boy a Mommy could ever ask for.
I am so thankful God saw fit to give us two little boys.
As your mommy, I love you and your brother so much it fills my heart to the brim.

May you always know my love.
May you always love your brother.
May you always love each other.
