MY YOUNGEST

Gabriel, Gib, Chunk. You melt your Mommy's heart. Here are some things about you as you enter the second month of your life.
  • You are the man with a million faces. You are worried. You are surprised. You are in awe. You are happy. You are confused. We can read you like a book.
  • You have three worry lines that crease on your forehead every so often. I love love love them. Love them. Yes I do. I love smooching them. I love talking to you when I see them on your forehead and seeing how they sometimes go away or how they sometimes increase in worry.
  • You have crazy old man eyebrows.
  • You love your tongue and are constantly playing with it.
  • You have found your voice. You love cooing and you make this deep throaty noise that kind of sounds like a dinosaur growl/ gasp.
  • You have mastered the art of the fake cry and the whine. So early! It makes me laugh how dramatic you are.
  • You smile and it makes me melt. Big gummy smiles, big stinker smiles (like you're up to something) and sweet flirty smiles.
  • You have rolls where Caderyn never had them. You have multiple chins, arm rolls and some very chunky legs. Again, I love this. I just want to nibble on those rolls. Keep gaining that weight!
  • We haven't had your 2-month check up (two more weeks), but if I had to guess I would say you are around 10 pounds.
  • You are a poop and pee machine. Your poops are NOT quiet. EVER. You are the noisiest pooper ever. Everyone within a 5 foot radius of where you are knows you are pooping it is so noisy.
  • You love stretching your legs out.
  • You are a wiggle worm.
  • You have a bottom pouty lip!
  • You are a very different eater than your brother was and you don't stick to the same schedule. We're working on finding a common ground before I have to go back to work. I operate off of the Babywise system. You are right around every 3 hours, sometimes 2 1/2 and you usually go down anytime between 8 and 9:30 p.m. and sleep until anytime between 1:30 a.m .and 3:00 a.m. Then you usually will get up between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and then will go back down again until 8 or 9 a.m. Sometimes you snack on the boob (whoo she said boob!)  and other times you guzzle. Sometimes I am completely empty and other times I'm uneven because of how you choose to eat.
  • You love being held.
  • You were baptized yesterday and, just like at Caderyn's baptism, Mommy cried. I'm such a sap.
  • You are so strong and try to hold your head up and look at everything. Then your neck gets tired and you slam it down and it hurts. You hate that and so does Mommy.
I could go on and on and on, just like I could with Caderyn and everything he is doing. Having two kids is fascinating!
