I was thinking I'd have all this time today to post ALL my pictures from last week and this week, but N-O. Seeing as its nearly 1:00 p.m. and we have church at 4:00 p.m. and I just now finished cleaning my kitchen (the only room so far).
But I'm on here, committed to this and showing you more of our happenings.
So here we G-O!
Caderyn earned another patch and belt buckle from Boy Scouts. He was pretty proud of himself and then he went and sang Christmas carols at a nursing home.
Donie Friday came and went with fancy new Christmas hats.
Caderyn's class Christmas party was a success. All of the kids dressed up and looked so snappy.
And those last few pictures my friends are the cold hard TRUTH about trying to take pictures with kids. You maybe get one.
The kids have had a few play dates, including a cute Christmas one with two of the boys' best buds.
Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

A post? A post! I've managed to do a post! Go me.
Here's errrrrrrething (I spelled it that way on purpose) that's been happening all up in herrrrrrrre.
A Christmas Candy Cane courtesy of Gibby. He does all these fun little crafts at preschool.
Two weekends ago Caderyn had his second swim meet. He did much better, we definitely saw some improvements.
Trying to kill some time before the next relay.
During them swim meet the snow moved in and once Caderyn was done swimming for the day we decided to hunker down at home. And then I got super sick and was down for the count.
I couldn't really get out of bed on Sunday, so Jeff was in charge. He took the kids out to play in the snow and set them up with movies and treats after so I could rest.
There was school on Monday and then they cancelled school on Tuesday (not sure why other than it was cold and icy), so even though I still wasn't 100 percent I did the best I could to keep the kids entertained.
We did lots of crafts and I made homemade play dough and then I took them to the park to run around in the snow.
Verna the Snowwoman looked very chilly.

 Shameless snow selfies
Corgi Train! She loves the snow.
More to come tomorrow.

"Christmas is coming, I'm trying not to get fat. Please put (more than) a penny in my fancy winter hat."
Did you see that? See what I did there? I missed my calling as a song writer.
The middle of December already?! Geez.
We've been busy, and, of course, like so many other people we know, we've been hit with the crud.
But that doesn't keep us down! No ma'am.
So what have we been up to lately? Well here, let me show you.
This guy and I had a lunch date at Costco. We picked up our Christmas cards, decided to test the samples (it was dessert day, oh joy of joys!), and then grabbed a quick lunch. This kid is into asking questions: "Why do we have lips? Why do we have eyes?" At one point I felt like the wolf stalking Red Riding Hood answering his questions. The better to see you with my dear...
I got hit in the head with that 2x4. It was an accident, it fell off the shelf. I saw stars for the first time in my life as I was knocked to the ground. But hey, they cut it up for me for free! Does it sound cruel that I had the plank of wood that knocked me in the head cut up into tiny square pieces? It does. But I went in there with the intention to purchase a piece of wood exactly for this reason. Cutting up that particular piece of wood was so much more satisfying. This kind of stuff. It only happens to me.
Hellooooo my new favorite drink in all the land.
Christmas light patrol.
 The finished product.
And then we went to the Parade of Lights. It was fun, we got a better spot toward the end of the parade, but it was a lot of fun and very festive. Gabriel was exhausted and fell asleep in my arms as the Harley Davidson motorcycles rumbled by with lights on their wheels.
I'm doing a new workout routine twice a week that's been kicking my butt.
This was me psyching myself up in the bathroom before heading out to the gym. I was also wondering if these pants were really worth the money...they are just so loud.

This boy and his snowman sunglasses are too cool for school.

Just torturing Dad while he tries to nap.
Aaaaaaaand finally cookies. I've been a cookie making machine. I'm trying to give them away faster than I can eat them. It doesn't always work. But THIS...THIIIIIIIIIS cookie is officially my cookie of the season. It's called a Hot Cocoa Cookie and it is delish.
Santa is going to go into a sugar coma at our house.
