Final day at Disney. We struggled to get up...mainly I struggled to get up, but we made it up and out the door to head into the Magic Kingdom. We walked around for a bit and hit up some rides before grabbing breakfast.
And then after riding rides and walking around on a considerably warmer and more crowded day we both just kind of hit a wall and decided we would just relax and people watch.
It was a good way to end the day until we had to go meet our shuttle.
Once we got to the airport and on the plane the reality hit in that we were leaving Disneyland and, to be honest, we weren't ready for the fun to end.
Let's go again Sarah!

After breakfast we were stuffed (that was pretty much the theme for the whole day too because we ate ALL THE FOOD in ALL ITS GLORY). The parks were just about to open for the day so we walked over to the Magic Kingdom gates and strolled through the Main Street area up to the castle and snapped some photos.
Sarah's clever boyfriend made this for us. I love it. I'm probably going to frame it.
From there our day of immense FUN began.
Waiting to ride Space Mountain.
Sarah's favorite: DAISY DUCK!
This one doesn't look awkward...at all...
Mickey Mouse beignets.

We met Thor. He was a pretty good Thor! Very convincible.
We were pretty tired at the end of the day so we quickly got dinner to go and stumbled back to our hotel where we quickly found that BOTH of us had walked holes through our socks.
We thought this was pretty funny.
And that was my second birthday celebration.
And my dad sent me this picture from my 4th birthday.

I woke up on my birthday, my 30th birthday, and didn't really feel any different--which is good, I guess.
Sarah had gotten some cute little birthday decorations, so while we tried to wake up we goofed around with those and I ate an Olaf cake pope (which was AMAZING).
Mmm look at all that morning gloriousness. Glasses on top of glasses, hair all messed up, still not 100 percent awake. GLORIOUS!
Stop judging me Olaf!
Awkward line waiting demonstration by yours truly.
Sarah had reserved us spots at Ariel's Grotto for a birthday breakfast. You get a delicious breakfast and you get to meet tons of characters. This was much easier than trying to find them around the park and waiting in line. I absolutely LOVED this. The breakfast was stellar and the experience was unlike any other. I will definitely do this with the kids when we take them in the future. I love all things Disney and being able to meet all the princesses, including Ariel and Mulan (two of my favorite) was just so much fun! I mean, you can't tell by the pictures below or anything (sarcasm has been inserted), but I was happy.
Again, one of the best experiences I've ever had. :)
Then, when we were done and getting ready to leave, the staff brought out a Mickey cupcake (amazing, everything we ate there was amazing).
And that was how my magical birthday started off. It only got better from here!
More to come tomorrow!
