The Saturday after Gibby's birthday arrived hot and humid, but that didn't stop us from having a little adventure at the Celtic Festival. My mother-in-law and I took the boys and we shopped a little, went on a little scavenger hunt, watched some competitions, enjoyed some bagpipes, and listened to music. It was hot, but it was fun.
Caber toss!
 Good crowd despite the heat.
 One of my family tents!

Later that night my friend Brittany and I participate in the Braveheart 5k that was part of the festival. There were kilts, blue paint, lots of yelling, and, of course, running.
It was a pretty good run for both of us but I wore shorts under my kilt that were too big and the result was horrible thigh chafage that, at the end of the race, was bleeding. Dang the luck!
Still it was a good race!
Hot, sweaty mess at the end. My blue paint was still intact!

I've always wanted to see them throwing those poles.
