OCTOBER/NOVEMBER: HELLOOOO FROM THE OTHER SIIIIIDE

Well...fancy meeting you here.
Yes. I found some time in my busy schedule (mostly just watching America's Next Top Model) to post. October and November have been busy. There was one weekend in all of October and two in November when we didn't have company. We've had soccer and swimming and parties and get togethers and oooooh boy its been fun but we were pooped!
Just a disclaimer, my phone has been whack lately. I'm on track to get a new one...soon(ish)...so bear with me. I haven't been able to take a lot of pictures.
So here is a post about some of the things we did...in October and some of November.
My parents were here for a long weekend in October and we took advantage of the free childcare to sneak away. We found ourselves in a beautiful place where the sun was "Shining" and the spirits were rumored to haunt. We went to Estes Park and visited the hotel that inspired Stephen King's "The Shining."
The Stanley.
In the deep dark basement. Do you see any ghosts?

The next weekend found the Husband with a dreaded man-cold. Oh the dreaded man-cold!
So we powered through the weekend as best we could and once Sunday arrived I was ready to get away. So I loaded up the boys in our Halloween attire and we climbed up the mountain to Boo at the Zoo.
Trying to get Lucy all costumed up and ready to go. She hated it. It didn't last very long.
Then we got ourselves ready and took some photos. We did a Scooby-Doo and the gang as a family costume this year. It turned out pretty dang good if I do say so myself.

And now, before we move on, a random picture of Lucy.
And then we started to move into the Halloween countdown. Caderyn's school had their Halloween party the Wednesday before Halloween because they had a four day weekend. It was crazy fun and I was too busy running around checking on things and didn't take any pictures. I'm thankful one of the parents in the room snapped this picture so that I could have a little memory from that day.
We had company come again in the form of my sister-in-law and BRAND NEW BABY NIECE.
EEEEEEEEEEE! All the baby snuggles were mine! I love her love her love her!
True to form, we never let our guests catch a breath, and we whisked Jen and Layla off to a Halloween party thrown by some friends.
Scooby Doo and the gang were a hit. I love this crew we've found here.
And then it was back to BABY SNUGGLES.
Caderyn had his last soccer game of the season. Caderyn absolutely LOVED his team and playing this year.
And before we knew it, it was Halloween. Gabriel had been sick all week and we ended up in the ER Sunday night before Halloween with him because he broke out in horrible hives all over his body. He still wasn't feeling great come trick or treating time, but he was determined. We went trick or treating in the neighborhood right by our school and holyyyy smokes was it fun. So many people were out, so many people that we knew! The kids got TONS of candy and there were even people passing out beer to the adults. Woop woop!
Velma was totally PISSED. She ruined her costume very quickly and then sat there glaring at me.
Scooby Doo sitting in the Mystery Machine, eating a cheeseburger.

The week after Halloween we FINALLY got haircuts for the boys. Seriously, it had been since August.
Poor Gibbby. His little noggin' gets so butchered. We still haven't found someone who can correctly cut his hair.

Caderyn had a random day off from school, so he followed me around on some errands. He got his flu shot, successfully walked and read at the same time, and spent some quality time with his mom.
Oh and he had a swim meet and set personal records in all his events.
Caderyn's school does a big Veteran's Day celebration. This was my son's letter to a vet. I'd say he is his father's son.

Caderyn's end of season soccer party.

And now, another picture of Lucy.
